Tony Crowell, Managing Director North America

High-flying businessman, Tony Crowell, had been associated with Flowcrete for over five years before accepting his current position as Managing Director of Flowcrete’s North American operations in 2004. Tony has reared the company from a start-up business with no premises, communication systems or even employees to what is now considered as a major player in the US polymer coatings industry.

Tony has over 20 years industry experience working in the construction arena and is the holder of two USPTO patents. Tony is clued-up on all aspects of the flooring industry and is not afraid to get his hands dirty on the front-line citing technical services, production, samples as well as sales and marketing as all part of his role at the head of Flowcrete’s stateside operations.

Tony received his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and attended the Executive MBA program at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. Tony began working in the polymer coatings industry in 1984 while working his way through college.  After graduating, Tony was snapped-up by B.F. Goodrich as a technical sales representative for the concrete coatings and sealants division. His next position was as regional manager for a manufacturer of epoxy and cement based screeds and grouts, where he was responsible for business activity in the western United States.

In 1998, Tony joined PolySpec, a manufacturer of polymer flooring and coatings, as an equity partner and held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  During his time at PolySpec, Tony was introduced to Flowcrete and began working with Flowcrete’s antimicrobial polyurethane cements – this led to him coming on board in 2004 to develop the North American business.

Tony has been involved with many high profile commercial and industrial projects including the structural repair of the historic Los Angeles Coliseum after the devastating earthquake of 1994. Tony was also instrumental in the "Super Bowl" flooring upgrade at the Reliant Stadium in Houston Texas. At Flowcrete, Tony’s tough business negotiations led to him securing one of Flowcrete’s most prestigious projects to date at NASA’s Johnson Space Exploration Center.
