A specially formulated flooring system is creating the right impression underfoot at one of the UK’s busiest aviation centres.
More than 10,000m² of Flowcoat TL high-build coating has been installed in the hangar of Signature’s London Luton fixed base operation.
The hangar is part of the facility’s one-stop, full service centre which includes flight planning, computerised weather, conference room, pilot lounge and refreshments.
It is one of the busiest fixed based operations outside of the USA, with in excess of 13,000 air traffic movements annually. Flowcoat TL was chosen for the hangar area due to its hard-wearing, durable and easy-to-clean finish. Flowcoat TL is a solvent and Nonylphenol free product that is used to protect concrete where improved durability is required. The floor finish delivers a water tight and chemical resistant glossy surface - combining good looks with performance.
Installed in iron grey, the new flooring system was applied under a phased programme to ensure minimal disruptions to the operations of the hangar.
