Flowcrete has been involved in a 10,000 square metre car park deck coating project for international parking facilities giant, Q-Park, located right beside one of Sweden’s most iconic buildings, the Turning Torso in Malmö.
Flowcrete’s flexible and water-proof wearing deck coating system, Deckshield ID, which has been specially formulated for use in multi-storey parking environments, was chosen for installation across all lanes and routes in levels 3-6 of Q-Park’s latest Malmö facility.
Deckshield ID is a waterproof and wear-resistant coating which protects against corrosion and attack from aggressive chemicals. Available in a wide-choice of decorative colours Deckshield visually improves parking environments, has a highly accredited fire-rating and is exceptionally durable and hard-wearing.
Q-Park selected Deckshield ID, in an attractive shade of Mid-Grey, for all lanes and routes complimented by a special Black colour to indicate the individual parking bays themselves. On ramps, Flowcrete’s heavy-duty Deckshield HD was installed to provide a thicker coating and extra durability.
Flowcrete’s Deckshield is an environmentally-friendly coating system that is free from solvents, preventing the release of any harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) to atmosphere during installation. The light reflective properties of the system can also help to reduce electricity consumption – providing a key cost-saving for property owners as well as a tangible environmental benefit.
