Deckshield Provides Protection At Thai Hospital
A proven track record of deck coating installations at prestigious properties in Hong Kong was one of the deciding factors in the selection of Flowcrete’s Deckshield for a major installation in Thailand at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok.
Following evaluation of various alternative systems and visits by the client to Flowcrete reference projects in Hong Kong, Deckshield was selected for the basement car park.
The fully trafficable polyurethane resin system is UV stable and waterproof, helping to prevent water ingress into the fabric of the building and damage from the harsh tropical elements.
Available in different formulations for exposed decks, intermediate decks and ramps, the solvent-free system bridges thermal movement, offers superior slip resistance and eliminates tyre squeal.
The light reflective surface brightens up dull environments and the range of colours enables parking bays, driveways and pedestrian walkways to be safely delineated.
One of the fastest systems of its kind to install, the entire project of 18,000 square metres was carried out by Civil Master Construction, one of Flowcrete’s licensed applicators in Thailand.
