The going was good at Royal Ascot with the installation of Naturewalk, the dynamic new flooring system from Flowcrete.
Using the latest in flooring technology, Flowcrete has developed a resin bound gravel system to create Naturewalk, which transforms outdoor areas into eye-catching, attractive environments.
Thousands of square metres of Naturewalk have been applied to all pathways and public walkways at the prestigious site in a specially-created golden colour.
Royal Ascot returned to its Berkshire home this summer after a highly-successful major redevelopment programme. The Flowcrete approved installation team worked against the clock to ensure the new surface was in place in good time for the Royal Meeting – held between 20th and 24th June – where the racecourse was officially opened on the first day.
The project involved installing Naturewalk on ‘green’ external concrete, so special- moisture tolerant, fast-curing primers were needed to prepare for the application of the product. The flooring looks superb and provides a protective coating capable of standing up to the movement of visitors, and all the general wear and tear you would expect at such a busy location.
